Individual Visitors
Public tours in german language with our educational staff take place at the following times:
Tuesday to Sunday and public holidays
april – october: 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 13:30 and 14:30
novembre and march: 10:30, 11:30 and 13:30
dezember – february: 11:30 und 13:30 Uhr
The group size is limited to 30 participants. The recommended minimum age is 15.
Length: approx. 2 hours
Tickets: 7 Euro, reduced 3 Euro
Tickets for the public tours are available at the Visitor Information Centre at the parking lot. Please purchase your ticket at least 15 minutes before the start of the tour. Prior reservation is possible by phone at 03643/745500 or to buchenwaldinfo-weimar@buchenwald.de.
Visiting with a group
Our educational offers for groups are primarily tailored to school classes (from grade 9), youth groups, and young adults. The minimum age is 15 years.
A guided tour with an introductory discussion lasts at least three hours (excluding a visit to the exhibition). The maximum group size is 30 people.
Tours are available in the following languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Hungarian, Romanian.
Irrespective of the duration of the offer, the one-off costs for the educational support of adults are €80 per group of up to 15 people and €120 per group of more than 15 and up to 30 people. Reduced rates are €40 per group of up to 15 people and €60 per group of more than 15 and up to 30 people.
