There were a total of almost 28,500 inmates in Special Camp No. 2. However, we have very little information about many of them. Soviet records often contain only their name and year of birth.

Where did these people come from? Where did they go to school? Where did they work? How did they behave under National Socialism? Did they have relatives who waited for news from the Special Camp after their arrest?

German archives often contain little or no information. In many cases, the relatives of former internees have already passed away, leaving behind only vague insinuations about their time in the Special Camp. This makes research difficult.
