Buchenwald-Dora Camp Association

Sponsor for the station "Kleines Lager" ("Little Camp")

The Buchenwald–Dora Camp Association (LAG) was originally an association of German survivors of the Buchenwald and Dora concentration camps and their satellite camps, who were committed to realising the Buchenwald Oath:

“The eradication of Nazism, root and branch, is our watchword. The building of a new world of peace and freedom is our goal.”

With the same objectives, anti-fascists – predominantly relatives of former prisoners – remain active in the LAG today. At the heart of our (entirely voluntary) work lies an examination of the organised resistance of political prisoners and the question of what lessons can be drawn from this for today’s struggle against fascism. For we know:

“Those who fight against Nazis cannot rely on the state” (Esther Bejarano, 1924–2021, Holocaust survivor, musician and activist.)
