Parking places for visitors who are holders of a disability card are located directly in front of the visitor information centre.

The visitor information centre, most of the exhibition buildings, the museum café, the archive, and the library are fully accessible (with ramps, elevators, DIN-norm wheelchair-accessible restrooms).

Because of special memorial requirements, the paths and buildings in the former inmates' camp – including the camp prison ("Bunker"), crematorium, prisoners' kitchen, and disinfection building (which today houses the art exhibition) – are only partially accessible to wheelchair users; additional information and assistance is available at the visitor information centre.

Special guided tours for individuals who are hearing-, vision-, or mobility-impaired are available by prior arrangement with the visitor information centre.
