In the past decades little attention has been paid to the fates of the female inmates of Buchenwald. Based on twenty-four representative biographies, the exhibition "Forgotten Women of Buchenwald" is the first documentation of the lives of women and girls in the subcamps of Buchenwald Concentration Camp: their merciless exploitation on the one hand, their will to survive on the other.
