Exclusion of liability
With its decision of September 12, 1999 – 312 O 85/99 – »Liability for Links« – the Regional Court of Hamburg ruled that the addition of a link makes one jointly responsible for the content of the linked site should the occasion arise. According to the Regional Court, this can only be prevented if one expressly distances oneself from such contents. We therefore expressly distance ourselves from the complete contents of all pages we have linked. We expressly state that we have no influence whatsoever on the design or contents of websites outside our domain and are accordingly not responsible for them.
The Buchenwald and Mittelbau-Dora Memorials Foundation strives to eliminate all barriers for vision-impaired persons, persons with restricted mobility, and persons with other disabilities. The memorials as physical sites as well as their information offers are to be accessible for all interested persons. This also applies to the memorial websites.
We hope that, in combination with the possibilities provided by the Internet browsers for making individual adjustments, the design of the website has eliminated the relevant barriers. We would appreciate any suggestions for improving our website accessibility. To submit suggestions as well as to prepare for a visit to our memorials, please contact our Visitor Information centres.
