Entrance Fees

Visits to the memorial and the exhibitions are free of charge. Fees are assessed only for the use of special educational services for groups and for multimedia guide rental.

Our app "Mittelbau" (available to download for free from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store) enables visitors to independently explore the grounds of the memorial and the permanent exhibition. The audiovisual tours contain historical information, photos, and eyewitness accounts. The tours are available in German, English, French, and Dutch.

We recommend that visitors download the app to their smartphones before their visit and that they bring their own headphones.

Alternatively, visitors can rent a multimedia guide at the memorial's visitor information. Price per person: 5€. Discounts available for groups.

Visiting the memorial with children

Visits to the museum, the tunnel facilities and the former crematorium with children under fourteen are not recommended.

Visit with dogs

Dogs are not permitted on the grounds of the former prisoners’ camp and inside the museum building (with the exception of guide dogs). Outside this area, leashed dogs are permitted.

Visit of the tunnels

The tunnels can be visited only within the framework of a guided tour. You can find more information on the guided tours here.

On the grounds of the Mittelbau-Dora Concentration Camp Memorial shooting films and taking photographs is allowed for private purposes. For the publication of videos and photographs (also on the internet, e.g. Facebook) a film and photo permit is needed.
