Guided tours

From Tuesday, June 8, 2021, the museum of the Mittelbau-Dora concentration camp memorial is open to visitors again. A vaccination certificate, proof of recovery, or negative test result is required.

The memorial is furthermore once again offering 90-minute guided tours of the former camp grounds. The tours are free of charge. The starting point for tours is in front of the museum building. We ask that visitors register for tours ahead of time and respect the hygiene policies.

Tour times
Tuesday through Friday: 11 am and 2 pm
Saturday and Sunday: 11 am, noon, 2 pm, and 3 pm
The memorial is closed on Mondays.

Hygiene policies

To contain the spread of Covid-19 we ask that visitors comply with the following hygiene policies:

- Since the permitted number of participants in guided tours is limited, the memorial asks that participants register ahead of time. Visitor Services can be reached by e-mail at  besucheranmeldung(at)dora(dot)de or by phone at 03631 495820.

- An FFP2 mask is to be worn inside all buildings as well as during tours. The usual hygiene and physical distancing rules apply. Entry to rooms is limited according to room size.

- Due to the climate in the tunnels in the Kohnstein, the risk of infection is particularly elevated there. The tunnel facilities therefore have to remain closed to visitors until further notice and are currently not part of tours. Areas of the camp grounds that are not usually included in tours have been incorporated instead.

- The former crematorium may only be entered as part of a tour.
