Free guided tours through parts of the former camp grounds and the tunnel facilities are offered for individual visitors in German. The tunnels can be visited only within the framework of a guided tour. The guided tours begin in front of the museum building.

Starting time

Tuesdays to Fridays: 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays: 11:00 a.m., 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.

Duration: approx. 90 minutes

Suitable clothing

Since the temperature in the tunnel facilities remains at about 8° C / 46° F all year round, it is advisable to dress warmly, even in the summer months.

For a fee of 5 EUR you can rent a multimedia guide at the visitor information desk. The device offers a guided audio tour and allows you to explore the history of the concentration camp and the memorial independently.

The multimedia device also offers supplementary information and reports by former witnesses as well as historical photos. Available in German, English, French and Dutch.
