Journal of Rosa Deutsch

The Hungarian Jewess Rosa Deutsch was deported to Penig, a Buchenwald subcamp in Saxony, in early 1945, an ordeal she just barely survived. During hospitalization in Altenburg after her liberation, she began a journal in which she retraced her biography back to Budapest via Zwickau and Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad). Rosa Deutsch presented her journal to the memorial in 2001.
