Bandaging material

At a certain point in the spring of 1945, the Illegal Camp Committee realized that the SS would try to kill the inmates before the arrival of the Americans, and began to prepare for armed resistance. Among other things, it stocked up on bandaging material in the inmates’ infirmary. After the liberation, the Austrian Communist Franz Meixner took a number of packets of bandages with him as a keepsake. His son gave them to the memorial in 2013.
