Continuing-education offers

The Mittelbau-Dora Concentration Camp Memorial regularly offers continuing-education seminars in German language for teachers and multipliers. During the seminar, you are given an introduction to the historical site within the framework of a guided tour. You moreover receive insights into a number of our educational working methods, which are introduced and demonstrated by our education staff.

By participating in one of the memorial’s continuing-education seminars, you can expand your abilities to convey historical topics on the basis of specific examples. We will teach you contents and methods of extracurricular education work on the subject of National Socialism in general and the Mittelbau-Dora Concentration Camp in particular.

On the practical level, you will learn how you can prepare for and follow up on a visit to the memorial in class. The memorial education staff will also provide you with pointers for organizing one-day or several-day visits to the concentration camp memorial with school pupils.

Our seminars encourage the intensive exchange of experience, for example the participants’ experience of extreme right-wing tendencies among school pupils. If there are other topics you would like to discuss, please ask our education staff in advance.

The ideal duration for a continuing-education seminar at the memorial is two days. We also offer one-day programmes.

Intensive exchange of experience requires a minimum of five participants. The seminar is free of charge; however, the participants are responsible for the costs of travel to and from the memorial as well as their room and board. We will be glad to help you find suitable overnight accommodations.

Our seminars are officially recognized throughout Germany as a continuing-education offer.
